RNA-binding protein 6 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RBM6 gene.[5][6] RBM6 orthologs[7] have been identified in all mammals for which complete genome data are available.
RBM6 splicing factor interacts with the DNA repair protein RAD51, and is also recruited to DNA double-strand breaks where it promotes homologous recombinational repair.[8]
