Plot
The film begins in a village where a callow Rambabu strongly aims to knit apsara Rambha, for which everyone heckles him. Besides, his mother Janakamma is in the process of fixing an alliance for him, and his sly maternal uncle Garalakantam ploys to fuse his daughter Chittitalli with him to usurp his wealth. Meanwhile, Rambabu conducts a huge penance on the guidance of the temple priest, bringing Rambha to earth and nuptials with the blessing of Narada. Anyhow, Janakamma denies it, so, she ruses with Garalakantam to detach them but in vain. After a few comic incidents, Rambha & Rambabu affront Narada, then he craftily divulges the secret to Indra who imprisons Rambha. Rambabu, with his willpower, reaches heaven, defeats Indra, and gets back Rambha. Eventually, Rambabu also goes to hell where he secretly observes the court held by Yama and silently reads the sins of humanity. After returning to earth, he reveals it to the public and tells remedies. Therefore, no sinners enter hell. Ergo, Narada induces Yama towards Indra and war begins between them but they realize the cause behind it and call Rambha & Rambabu. Here, Indra tries to punish Rambabu, but Rambha obstructs his way and confronts him. So, Indra makes Rambha into a statue when Rambabu goes into shock. Surprisingly, all this was Rambabu's dream. Now Janakamma forcibly about to perform his splice. Fortunately, the bride is the same girl whom he has seen in the dream. So, finally, Rambabu happily marries her.
