Ramshir (Persian: رامشير; also Romanized as Rāmshīr; formerly known as Ram Shihr, Khalaf Abad, and Khalafābād)[3] is a city in the Central District of Ramshir County, Khuzestan province, Iran, and serves as both capital of the county and of the district.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 24,782 in 4,604 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 23,008 people in 5,163 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 25,009 people in 6,536 households.[2]
