Rigan Rural District (Persian: دهستان ريگان) is in the Central District of Rigan County, Kerman province, Iran. It is administered from the city of Mohammadabad.
At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Rigan District of Bam County) was 26,114 in 5,705 households.[3] There were 32,023 inhabitants in 8,188 households at the following census of 2011, by which time the rural district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Rigan County.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 36,933 in 10,392 households. The largest of its 112 villages was Abbasabad-e Sardar (now a city),[5] with 5,125 people.[2]
