Sabalan Rural District (Persian: دهستان سبلان) is in Sabalan District of Sareyn County, Ardabil province, Iran.[3]
At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Sareyn District of Ardabil County) was 4,875 in 1,084 households.[4] There were 1,900 inhabitants in 565 households at the following census of 2011,[5] by which time the district had separated from the county in the establishment of Sareyn County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts, with Sareyn as its capital and only city.[3] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 1,798 in 560 households. The largest of its five villages was Irdemousa, with 816 people.[2]
