Samirul Islam (born 1987) is an Indian social activist and a Member of the Rajya Sabha since 17 July 2023 being a member of All India Trinamool Congress.[1][2] He is the founder of Bangla Sanskriti Mancha, a pressure group.[3] He is a professor of Dinabandhu Andrews College in Kolkata.[4]
Early life and education
Samirul Islam was born in Dunigram, Rampurhat, Birhum district, West Bengal in 1987 to Late MD Jakeria.
Samirul Islam is a postgraduate in Master of Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.[5]
Personal life
Samirul Islam is married to Sabnam Sultana.
