Sarayan (Persian: سرايان, also Romanized as Sarāyān, Sarā’īān and Sīryān)[3] is a city in Ayask District of Sarayan County, South Khorasan province, Iran, and serves as capital of the county.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 11,098 in 2,933 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 13,247 people in 3,627 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 13,795 people in 4,130 households.[2]
