The Government Aviation Service (Serbian: Авио-служба Владе, romanized: Avio-služba Vlade) is a directorate of the Government of Serbia, which provides air transport for the President of the Republic, Prime Minister and other high-ranking state officials.
History
The history of the Government Aviation Service dates back to 1 June 1965 and the establishment of the Federal Aviation Service of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Fleet initially consisted of two aircraft (Morava L 200 D and Beechcraft Baron B 55) and one Bell helicopter with 5 pilots and an aircraft mechanic.[1] In 1969, Beechcraft Duke B 60 was bought and on 1975 first two 2 Learjets. In 1979, Sarajevo, plane Learjet 25 (YU-BJH), and the crew and Džemal Bijedić died. In 1981,Falcon 50 was purchased. In 1995 the Aviation Service for the needs of federal authorities with a separate RV and PVO unit was merged into the Aviation Service with a fleet of 6 planes. In 1999, two aircraft Learjet 25 YU-BRA and YU-BRB were sold. In 2003, two additional aircraft Learjet 25 YU-BJG and YU-BKR and Falcon 50 YU-BPZ were sold. In 2004, Learjet 31a YU-BRZ was purchased. In 2006, Air Service transferred to the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
Fleet
Government Aviation Service operates one Embraer Legacy 600 and one Learjet 31.[2]
