Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel is a Bangladeshi politician. He is a Member of Parliament elected from Moulvibazar-2 Constituency in the 12th National Parliament Election.[2][3][4] He is an organizing secretary of Bangladesh Awami League.[5] He is also a director of Bangladesh Cricket Board.[6]

Nadel is the eldest son of Shamsul Alam Chowdhury and Mashuda Akhter Chowdhury

Career

Nadel is a Bangladesh Awami League politician. He started his political career in Awami League by becoming the President of Sylhet City School (now Sylhet Government Pilot High School) Chhatra League in 1986. Currently he is the organizing secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Central Parishad.[7] He became the nominated candidate of Awami League from Moulvibazar-2 constituency in the 12th National Parliament Election.[2][8] He won the election on 7 January 2024. He is a director of Bangladesh Cricket Board.[9]. He is also the chairman of the Bangladesh women's national cricket team[10].

Personal life

In 2000, Nadel married Amatul Aziz Fahima Chowdhury. He has two daughters and a son, The Eldest daughter is Maisha Chowdhury, then the son Maaj Alam Chowdhury, and the youngest daughter Maria Chowdhury.
