Shahrabad (Persian: شهرآباد), formerly Abad (آباد), also Romanized as Ābād,[3] is a city in the Central District of Tangestan County, Bushehr province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 3,197 in 737 households, when it was the village of Abad in Ahram Rural District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,503 people in 936 households.[6] According to the census in 2016, the population was 3,787 people in 1,078 households,[2] by which time the village had been elevated to the status of a city as Shahrabad.[4]
