St. Margrethen railway station (German: Bahnhof St. Margrethen) is a railway station in St. Margrethen, in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen. It is an intermediate stop on the Chur–Rorschach line and the western terminus of the St. Margrethen–Lauterach line to Austria.[1]
Services
As of the December 2023 timetable change, the following services stop at St. Margrethen:[2]
- EuroCity: six trains per day between Zürich Hauptbahnhof and München Hauptbahnhof.
- : hourly service between Zürich Hauptbahnhof and Chur.
- St. Gallen S-Bahn:
- S2 / S4: half-hourly service between Wattwil and Altstätten SG via St. Gallen and hourly service to Rapperswil, Sargans, and Nesslau-Neu St. Johann.
- S5: hourly service to Weinfelden.
- S7: on weekdays, three trains per day between Romanshorn and Lindau-Reutin; service increases to every two hours on weekends.
