Starve Acre is an 2023 British horror film, written and directed by Daniel Kokotajlo, based upon the novel of the same name by Andrew Michael Hurley. It stars Morfydd Clark and Matt Smith. It had its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on 12 October 2023.

In January 2022, it was announced Morfydd Clark and Matt Smith had joined the cast of the film, with Daniel Kokotajlo directing from a screenplay he wrote based upon the novel by Andrew Michael Hurley.[1]

Release

The film had its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on 12 October 2023.[2][3] In October 2023, BFI Distribution and Brainstorm Media acquired U.K. and U.S. distribution rights respectively.[4]

Reception

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 100% of 7 critics' reviews are positive.[5]
