Steven LaBrie (born March 4, 1988) is an American baritone, best known as a member of classical crossover group Il Divo.

Life and career

LaBrie is a musician at the Met Opera and associate artistic director of vocal arts at the Juilliard School. LaBrie was named among the five leading lyric baritones to watch by Opera News.[1]

He is also a special guest on tour with classical crossover vocal quartet Il Divo since 2022. He was asked to fill in for Carlos Marín following his death.[2][3] On August 17, 2023 he officially became the fourth member of the group.[4][5][6]

Personal life

LaBrie is openly gay and engaged to concert pianist Adam Reed Nielsen.[7]
