Valtos is a music band based in Isle of Skye.[1][2]

History

Valtos was formed by Martyn MacDonald and Daniel Docherty.[3][2] Both members of Valtos possess backgrounds in electronic music, with experience in DJing and music production.[4]

Their debut single "Home" blends traditional elements with mid-tempo house, featuring vocals from Eilidh Cormack and Lana Pheutan.[1][5] In 2022, Valtos released a remix titled "Marx Terrace – Valtos Remix."[4]

In April 2022, Valtos released "Ceòl Dannsa", incorporating a vocal sample from Donnie Munro.[1][6]

In November 2022, Valtos collaborated with Scottish bands Talisk and Elephant Sessions to release a charity EP for Movember.[7]

In December 2022, Valtos received Scots Trad Music Award.[8]
