Opening in November 2012 on the former site of the Rangeview Juvenile Remand Centre, the prison was privately managed by Serco Australia from that time[4][5] until May 2018 as a minimum-security prison for 18- to 28-year-old men preparing to transition back into the community.[6]

Description

It is the first drug rehabilitation prison in Western Australia, and has been managed by the Department of Justice since May 2018.[3]
