Biography

Zelimkhan Akhmadov was born in 1975 in Urus-Martan.[1] He was the youngest of the ten Akhmadov brothers from the Gendargnoy teip.[2]

In the First Chechen War, Akhmadov fought against the Russian army as part of his brother Ramzan Akhmadov's battalion.[3]

During the Second Chechen War, Akhmadov commanded the Grozny and Urus-Martan sectors. He was known for numerous attacks and killings of Chechens who collaborated with Russia.[3] One of his last attacks was in April 2002, when 18 members of the pro-Russian Chechen OMON were killed.[4]
