Notes

  1. Including the match against Serbia on 12 October 2010 (UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying) which was abandoned after 6 minutes of play and whose 3–0 final result was assigned in favour of Italy.
  2. Additional matches are scheduled to be played in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the first world cup, however they are not considered to be official hosts of the tournament. [2]
  3. As UEFA Euro 2000 runners-up.
  4. This edition of the tournament was interrupted due to the annexation of Austria to Nazi Germany on 12 March 1938, which meant that three games – all of which were Italy's – could not be played. As a result, no title was awarded.
