This is a list of electricity-generating power stations in the U.S. state of West Virginia, sorted by type and name. In 2021, West Virginia had a total summer capacity of 14,907 MW through all of its power plants, and a net generation of 56,441 GWh in 2022.[2] The corresponding electrical energy generation mix was 89.3% coal, 4% natural gas, 2.7% hydroelectric, 2.6% wind, and 0.3% petroleum and 0.1% solar.[1]
