Hlinaia (Ukrainian: Глинне, Hlynne, Russian: Глиное, Glinnoye) is a village in the Slobozia District of Transnistria, Moldova.[1] It has since 1990 been administered as a part of the breakaway Transnistrian Moldovan Republic. In the 19th century, the village was named Glueckstal and was populated by German Lutheran colonists.[2]
Notes
- ↑ Transnistria's political status is disputed. It considers itself to be an independent state, but this is not recognised by any UN member state. The Moldovan government and the international community consider Transnistria a part of Moldova's territory.
