Maji (Bengali: মাজি), also spelled as Majee, is a Bengali Hindu surname or family name. They originated from the Indian State of West Bengal and may belong to Mahishya, Chasi Kaibartta, Jalia Kaibartta, and Ugra Kshatriya[1][2][3] castes among Bengali Hindus. They are of Indian Origin.
