Paskhan (Persian: پاسخن, also Romanized as Pāskhan, Pāsekhān, Pāskhān, and Pāsokhan; also known as Pāshkhān)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Fasarud District of Darab County, Fars province, Iran,[4] and also serves as the administrative center for Paskhan Rural District.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 1,657 in 374 households, when it was in Paskhan Rural District of the Central District.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,497 people in 393 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,545 people in 476 households.[2]

After the census, Fasarud Rural District and Paskhan Rural District were separated from the Central District in the establishment of Fasarud District.[4] In addition, the villages of Paskhan and Rostaq were elevated to the status of cities.
