Qushkhaneh-ye Bala Rural District (Persian: دهستان قوشخانه بالا), formerly Qushkhaneh Rural District (دهستان قوشخانه), is in Qushkhaneh District of Shirvan County, North Khorasan province, Iran.[3] It is administered from the city of Qushkhaneh[4] (formerly the village of Yengi Qaleh-ye Bala).[5]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 8,048 in 1,820 households.[6] There were 6,229 inhabitants in 1,680 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 5,270 in 1,573 households. The largest of its 18 villages was Sardab, with 785 people.[2]
