Rahmatabad District (Persian: بخش رحمتآباد) is in Rigan County, Kerman province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Rahmatabad,[2] whose population at the National Census of 2016 was 5,055 in 1,307 households.[3]
After the 2006 National Census, Gavkan, Gonbaki, and Rigan Rural Districts, and the city of Mohammadabad, were separated from Bam County in the establishment of Rigan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Mohammadabad as its capital and only city at the time.
In 2019, the village of Rahmatabad was elevated to the status of a city.[4] In 2023, Sadabad Rural District was established in Rahmatabad District, with the city of Rahmatabad as the district capital.[2]
