Salami Rural District (Persian: دهستان سالمی) is in Khanafereh District of Shadegan County, Khuzestan province, Iran. It is administered from the city of Khanafereh.[3]

After the 2006 National Census, Khanafereh Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Khanafereh District, which was divided into two rural districts.[3]

At the census of 2011, Salami Rural District's population was 14,848 in 3,343 households.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 10,504 in 2,734 households. The largest of its six villages was Salami, with 3,019 people.[2]
