Sang Bast (Persian: سنگ بست; also known as Sang Dasht)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Sang Bast Rural District[4] of the Central District of Fariman County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 670 in 187 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 803 people in 226 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 786 people in 243 households.[2]
