Tanian (Persian: تنيان, also Romanized as Tanīān and Tan-Yen; also known as Nanyān)[3] is a village in Gurab Zarmikh Rural District of Mirza Kuchek Janghli District, Sowme'eh Sara County, Gilan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 3,339 in 769 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 3,414 people in 941 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,240 people in 984 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
