Abidar Rural District (Persian: دهستان آبیدر)[3] is in the Central District of Sanandaj County, Kurdistan province, Iran.
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 14,274 in 3,535 households.[4] There were 6,693 inhabitants in 1,873 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 5,921 in 1,751 households. The largest of its 17 villages was Karju, with 1,942 people.[2]
