Howmeh Rural District (Persian: دهستان حومه)[3] is in the Central District of Sanandaj County, Kurdistan province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 31,304 in 7,720 households.[4] There were 20,066 inhabitants in 5,707 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 28,597 in 8,596 households. The largest of its 22 villages was Asavleh, with 8,009 people.[2]
