Akramabad (Persian: اكرم اباد, also Romanized as Akramābād)[3] is a village in, and the capital of Akramabad Rural District of Akramabad District, Yazd County, Yazd province, Iran, and also serves as capital of the district.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 4,350 in 958 households, when it was in Fahraj Rural District of the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,736 people in 986 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 7,058 people in 1,838 households.[2]

Akramabad District was established in February 2023 and divided into two rural districts.[4]
