Bandar Charak (Persian: بندر چارک, also Romanized as Bandar-e Chārak and Band-e Chārak; also known simply as Chārak)[3] is a coastal city in, and the capital of, Shibkaveh District of Bandar Lengeh County, Hormozgan province, Iran. The city also serves as the administrative center for Bandar Charak Rural District. More than half of the town speaks Gulf Arabic.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 2,958 in 609 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,758 people in 711 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,066 people in 1,049 households.[2]
