Zalaqi-ye Gharbi Rural District (Persian: دهستان ذلقي غربي) is in Zalaqi District (formerly Besharat District) of Aligudarz County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Parchel.[3]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 3,252 in 524 households.[4] There were 3,013 inhabitants in 574 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,807 in 624 households. The largest of its 53 villages was Parchel, with 319 people.[2]
After the census, the name of the district was changed to Zalaqi District.[6]
