Bijnavand Rural District (Persian: دهستان بيجنوند) is in Zagros District of Chardavol County, Ilam province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Zir Tang.[3]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the Central District) was 8,017 in 1,670 households.[4] There were 7,327 inhabitants in 1,771 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 4,194 in 1,140 households, by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Zagros District.[3] The largest of its 42 villages was Taq-e Gavarin, with 511 people.[2]
