Hoseynabad District (Persian: بخش حسینآباد) is in Sanandaj County, Kurdistan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the city of Hoseynabad.[4]
In October 2011, Hoseynabad-e Shomali Rural District was separated from Saral District in Divandarreh County, and Hoseynabad-e Jonubi Rural District was separated from the Central District in Sanandaj County in the establishment of Hoseynabad District.[3]
At the latest census in 2016, the district had 9,743 inhabitants in 2,748 households.[2]
After the census, the village of Hoseynabad was elevated to the status of a city.[4]
