Mashhad (Persian: مشهد; also known as Mashhad Teshān)[3] was a village in Tashan-e Sharqi Rural District of Tashan District, Behbahan County, Khuzestan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 461 in 93 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 471 people in 121 households.[2]
In July 2013, the village of Mashhad merged with the villages of Ablesh, Chahardahi-ye Asgar, Chahardahi-ye Sohrab, Deh-e Ebrahim, Kalgeh Zar, Masiri, Sarallah, Shahrak-e Taleqani, and Tall Kohneh to form the new city of Tashan.[5]
