Shahnabad (Persian: شهن آباد, also Romanized as Shahnābād, Shāhanābād, and Shahīnābād)[3] was a village in, and the former capital of, Mirbag-e Shomali Rural District of the Central District, Delfan County, Lorestan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,385 in 286 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,417 people in 343 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,450 people in 402 households.[2]
In 2023, Itivand and Mirbag Districts were established, with two rural districts each that were transferred from Kakavand District and the Central District, respectively.[6] Shahnabad merged with the village of Farhadabad to form the new village of Mirbag.[7]
