Aqabad (Persian: آق آباد, also Romanized as Āqābād)[3] is a village in Aqabad Rural District of the Central District of Gonbad-e Kavus County, Golestan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 4,085 in 763 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 4,899 people in 1,259 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,534 people in 1,403 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
