Trente Jones (born January 15, 2001) is an American football offensive tackle for the Michigan Wolverines.

Early life and high school

Jones attended high school at Grayson. Coming out of high school, Jones was rated as a four-star recruit and the number 11 offensive tackle nationally.[1] Jones held offers from schools such as Auburn, Arkansas, Florida State, Michigan, Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Tennessee.[2] Jones would decide to commit to play college football for the Michigan Wolverines.[3][4]

College career

In Jones first four seasons he appeared in 26 games with eight starts.[5] Jones made his first career start in the 2022 season opener versus Colorado State.[6] In week 13 of the 2023 season, after starter Zak Zinter went down with an injury versus rivals Ohio State, Jones took over as the team's starting right tackle.[7] Jones started in the 2024 Rose Bowl and the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship for the Wolverines.[8] Jones helped the Wolverines win the 2023 national championship.[9]
