2024 North Carolina lieutenant gubernatorial election

Incumbent Lieutenant Governor

Mark Robinson
Republican

The 2024 North Carolina lieutenant gubernatorial election will be held on November 5, 2024, to elect the Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina, concurrently with the 2024 U.S. presidential election, as well as elections to the United States Senate, elections to the United States House of Representatives, and various other state and local elections. Incumbent Republican Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson is eligible to seek re-election to a second term in office, but is instead running for governor.[1]

Party primary elections are scheduled for March 5, 2024. Because 11 candidates are running in the Republican primary, there exists the possibility of no candidate receiving the 30% of the vote required to avoid a second primary. If no candidate reaches that threshold, the runner-up can request a second primary (in other words, a runoff), to be held on May 14, 2024.[2]
